Please read these terms carefully before using our services.

Terms of Use

TOUR PAYMENT

25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.

The remaining 75% balance is due 45 days prior to the first day of the itinerary.

For bookings made within 60 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.

Payments may be made via Paypal, using;

  • Credit card
  • Bank transfer (ACH, SEPA, BACS, etc.)
  • International wire transfer

Processing fees (if applicable) will be communicated at the time of booking and are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise stated.


GOVERNMENT TAXES & LEVIES

All package prices are based on the government taxes and statutory levies applicable at the time the quotation is issued.

Should government taxes increase or new levies be introduced prior to the first land day of travel, LuluSpots reserves the right to adjust the total invoice accordingly.


PARK FEES

Safari pricing reflects the park fees applicable at the time of quotation.

If park fees are increased by Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA), the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA), or other governing bodies prior to arrival, the difference will be added to the final balance.


ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation is subject to availability at the time of confirmation and payment. In rare cases where a property is unable to honor a confirmed booking, LuluSpots will provide a comparable alternative of similar standard and location.

Where time permits, clients will be consulted regarding alternate options. However, LuluSpots reserves the right to make necessary substitutions when operational timelines require immediate action.

Clients are encouraged to review accommodation details prior to confirmation. Changes requested after arrival are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. No refunds will be issued for unused accommodation services.


ITEMS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE PRICE

Unless explicitly stated in the itinerary, the following are not included:

  • International airfare
  • Passport and visa fees
  • Travel insurance
  • Vaccinations and medications
  • Personal expenses (telephone, laundry, souvenirs)
  • Alcoholic beverages (unless specified)
  • Tips and gratuities
  • Optional excursions not listed in the confirmed itinerary
  • Excess baggage charges

ITINERARY CHANGES

While every effort is made to operate the itinerary as confirmed, LuluSpots reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments due to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Road conditions
  • Operational logistics
  • Safety concerns
  • Force majeure events

Any significant adjustments affecting pricing will be communicated to the client promptly.


CANCELLATION POLICY

Client Cancellation:

  • More than 60 days prior to arrival: Deposit retained
  • 31–59 days prior: 50% of total cost
  • 15–30 days prior: 75% of total cost
  • 14 days or less / No-show: 100% of total cost

Refunds are subject to third-party supplier policies.


LIABILITY

LuluSpots acts as an intermediary between clients and service providers (lodges, airlines, transport operators, etc.). While every effort is made to ensure quality and safety, LuluSpots shall not be liable for:

  • Injury, illness, or death
  • Loss or damage to personal property
  • Delays or disruptions beyond our control
  • Acts of nature, political unrest, or force majeure events

Participation in safari activities and mountain trekking involves inherent risks.


TRAVEL INSURANCE

Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, evacuation, cancellation, and personal belongings is strongly recommended.


GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

 

CHANGES TO THE ITINERARY

Should the Traveler(s) request changes after confirming the itinerary, LuluSpots will make every reasonable effort to accommodate such requests.

Any cancellation penalties, amendment fees, or additional costs imposed by lodges, airlines, park authorities, or other third-party suppliers resulting from these changes shall be the responsibility of the Traveler(s).


TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Traveler(s) are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all passport, visa, vaccination, health, and entry requirements applicable to Tanzania and any other destination included in the itinerary.

LuluSpots shall not be held liable for consequences resulting from failure to obtain required documentation, including proof of residency for discounted park entry eligibility.


CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event of cancellation for any reason, the following charges will apply:

  • 61 days or more prior to first land date:
    30% of total itinerary cost + USD $100 administrative fee
  • 31–60 days prior:
    50% of total itinerary cost + USD $100 administrative fee
  • 30 days or less prior:
    100% of total itinerary cost

No-shows are considered cancelled as of the first scheduled arrival date.

No refunds will be issued for unused services, early departures, or failure to complete any portion of the itinerary.

Cancellation policies are strictly enforced. Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.


UNAVOIDABLE CIRCUMSTANCES (FORCE MAJEURE)

LuluSpots shall not be held liable for delays, interruptions, or alterations to itineraries caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Government actions
  • Strikes
  • Road closures
  • Political unrest
  • Natural disasters
  • Technical or mechanical failures

Any additional expenses incurred as a result of such events (including accommodation, meals, transportation, communication, or airfare adjustments) shall be borne by the Traveler(s).

While every effort is made to ensure smooth operations, LuluSpots does not control third-party service providers and cannot be held responsible for their acts, omissions, or service failures.


INSURANCE

LuluSpots strongly advises Traveler(s) to obtain comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking, covering:

  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Medical expenses
  • Emergency evacuation
  • Loss of baggage
  • Personal liability

For Kilimanjaro climbs, insurance must include high-altitude coverage and medical evacuation up to 6,000 meters above sea level.


EMERGENCY EVACUATION RECOMMENDATION

 

LuluSpots does not directly provide medical or air evacuation services. However, we strongly recommend that all Traveler(s) secure comprehensive emergency evacuation coverage prior to travel.

For safari and mountain trekking activities (including Kilimanjaro climbs), coverage should include:

  • Emergency medical evacuation
  • High-altitude rescue (up to 6,000 meters above sea level for Kilimanjaro)
  • Hospitalization
  • Repatriation to home country

Reputable evacuation service providers operating in Tanzania include, but are not limited to:

  • AMREF Flying Doctors
  • KiliMedAir
  • Auric Air (medical charter services)

LuluSpots may provide contact details for such providers upon request; however, any evacuation services are arranged directly between the Traveler(s) and the chosen provider.

All services are subject to the terms, conditions, operational capacity, and weather limitations of the evacuation provider. LuluSpots shall not be held liable for delays, service interruptions, or outcomes relating to third-party evacuation services.

PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA

Traveler(s) grant LuluSpots permission to use photographs and video footage taken by our staff during tours for marketing and promotional purposes, unless written notice declining consent is provided prior to travel.

Any photographs voluntarily shared with LuluSpots may be used on a non-exclusive, royalty-free basis.


WILDLIFE DISCLAIMER

Safari activities may involve proximity to wild animals. Many lodges and camps are located in unfenced wilderness areas where wildlife moves freely.

Although incidents are rare, inherent risks exist. Traveler(s) must follow all safety instructions provided by guides and lodge staff at all times.

LuluSpots does not guarantee sightings of specific wildlife species or quantities.


PRIVACY POLICY

LuluSpots is committed to safeguarding personal information. Client data will be used solely for operational purposes and will not be shared with third parties except as necessary to fulfill travel arrangements (e.g., lodges, airlines, transport providers).


CONTRACT

Upon payment of any portion of the itinerary cost, Traveler(s) acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions as binding.


DISCLAIMER

LuluSpots acts as an intermediary between Traveler(s) and independent suppliers providing accommodation, transportation, activities, and other services.

LuluSpots and its representatives shall not be liable for injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by third-party suppliers, weather, political events, acts of nature, illness, or any other circumstance beyond its control.

All services are subject to the laws and regulations of the country in which they are provided.

 

Traveler(s) are responsible for safeguarding personal belongings at all times.
